in which I confess my idiocy, and encourage bloodshed

Yesterday was quite a long day. I took the alcove for dinner specifically so that I wouldn't have to deal with large parties. Of course, I get this giant group that takes up the entire right side of the alcove. And the Lynch family had the left side. But they're cool, and Jaime tried to bus his own table, and I had to tell him to stop working, which amused his family greatly. The giant group though...oh man. Even though they ended up leaving a rather fantastic tip (25% on a $220 check), they ran my ass off. Literally. I had to search the wait station for my ass at the end of the shift, it had fallen off at some point as I was getting yet another martini. They were afflicted with the Curse Of Being Unable To Order More Than One Thing At A Time, which meant I spent all night running from wait station to alcove carrying one drink at a time.

But that wasn't really why yesterday was such a long day....I certainly learned my lesson about getting Mangrey to make me shift margaritas instead of shift beers.

I have a bump on my head from where the toilet seat hit me. That's all I'm going to say about that.

Harry Potter tonight!!! I'm supposed to meet Natalie for a drink at the Leafe after we pick up our copies (she prepurchased from B&N, I got mine at books-a-million), but I'm not sure I can go back there tonight. My stomach is angry with me for even thinking about alcohol right now.

I bought Mark of Kri for eight bucks at EB (thanks for the tip on the sale, Anh). I haven't gotten very far yet, I'm stuck in the first stealth mission - can't figure out where to go next that won't get me spotted by the guards. Archers above me, swordsman staring right at me if I move out of the shadow of the wall, and a flock of birds between me and where I think the ladder is (can't see very well on the little TV). Those must be stupid Williamsburg birds - the mission is at night. But the game is wicked fun. I love stealth killing people. Especially the wall kill - you grab the guard by the neck from around the corner, slam him into the wall in front of you, stick your sword into his head, and then look around furtively as he hangs there, pinned to the wall, spurting blood. It's fantastic good fun.

Oh, and Angela wanted me to post about her. Umm...oh, yeah, I want that Pint Night shift if you're still offering. I'll call you later.

Erg. Time to go find some ginger ale. Harry Potter tonight!!!!
